My work is rooted in the temperate rainforests of Vancouver Island, where moss, bark, shadow, and weather shape both landscape and memory. I create functional stoneware that lives at the intersection of use and narrative — objects meant to be held, lived with, and quietly observed over time.

The Moss and Oak Collection explores texture and touch. Carved handles reference wood grain, while layered glazes echo the softness of moss and leaves against bark. These pieces are shaped with attention to weight, balance, and how the hand meets the surface, emphasizing the physical relationship between object and user.

The Raven Lore Collection moves toward imagery and story. Using sgraffito carving, raven and corvid forms emerge as symbols of intelligence, folklore, and transformation. Each mug functions as a small narrative vessel, where surface becomes a place for myth and observation.

Across both bodies of work, variation is intentional. No two pieces are identical. The marks of the hand, the movement of glaze, and the individuality of carving are integral to the work, reflecting an ongoing dialogue between nature, material, and lived experience.
